The character Brian Fury is a combination of a man and a machine. In the past, he was a police officer who was killed in a shootout in Hong Kong. Brian's body was brought to Dr. Abel, an old scientist and Dr. Bosconovich's main rival. For Abel, the last step remained before achieving his main goal - the creation of an army of cyborgs. However, in order to surpass Bosconovich, Abel needed all the mechanical devices created by Bosconovich. So Brian was resurrected and sent to collect data. Brian's main target at the Iron Fist tournament was Yoshimitsu, a man with close ties to Bosconovich.
